Pipe Flow Wizard is a comprehensive fluid flow rate and pressure loss calculator application developed by Pipe Flow Software. It offers a wide range of functionalities, including flow rate calculations, pressure drop calculations, pipe diameter sizing, and maximum pipe length determination based on desired flow rate and pressure loss.

The original Pipe Flow Wizard software has gained recognition among engineers globally, with users from over 100 countries. Now, the new mobile version for iOS brings the same powerful calculations to iPhone and iPad devices. With this app, users can conveniently find friction loss, flow rate, minimum pipe diameter for a given flow rate and pressure loss, and length of pipe for a specified maximum pressure loss.

One of the standout features of Pipe Flow Wizard is its versatility in handling both liquid and gas flow scenarios. It allows users to account for factors such as valves, fittings, and changes in elevation. For non-compressible fluids (liquids), pressure losses are calculated using the Darcy-Weisbach formula. For compressible fluids (gases), users have multiple options to choose from, including the General Fundamental Flow, Complete Isothermal Flow, AGA, IGT, Panhandle type A and B, or the Weymouth equation.

Pipe Flow Wizard comes equipped with extensive databases for pipe materials, pipe diameters, pipe fittings (K factors), and fluids. The app also allows users to specify and include their own data regarding pipe materials, sizes, fittings, and fluids.

Notably, Pipe Flow Wizard supports both imperial and metric units, giving users the flexibility to work with their preferred measurement system. Additionally, calculation results provide valuable information such as Reynolds number, friction factor, flow type (laminar or turbulent), friction losses, fitting losses, fluid velocities, and more.

Furthermore, the accuracy and reliability of the calculations performed by Pipe Flow Wizard have been verified against 50 cases of published results from reputable sources. These include results from both liquid and gas systems.
